My Process:
Series: Small Blessings
Inspiration: This mosaic honors the alternating current of ebb and flow, yin and yang, individuation and oneness. Ebb and flow. Currents. Tides. Flotsam. Sediments. Waves. Mother Ocean. Water wisdom.
It’s a reflection of the most tender tide: that infinite, inexorable pull and push that keeps us coming home to what we love most.
Materials: Glidden Point oyster shells, mom’s broken plate, mica-flecked stones from North Carolina, mirrored and glass tesserae, stained glass, pearls, beads, slate.
